Peyton, a native of Channahon, Illinois, developed a passion for animals while growing up alongside a golden retriever that was the same age as her. This sparked her love for animals. Her bond with her golden retriever coupled with the fond memories she has of visiting the Brookfield Zoo with her mother and brother, laid the foundation for a love that would eventually turn into a career.
As she progressed through school, Peyton found herself gravitating toward science and medicine. The blend of these interests, coupled with her affection for animals, led her on the path to becoming a veterinarian. The pivotal moment occurred during her time working at a dog shelter, solidifying her commitment to this fulfilling profession.
Currently pursuing her degree at Ross University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, Peyton is immersed in her clinical year at Colorado State University, with an anticipated graduation date in January 2024.
During her externship, Peyton is eager to acquire hands-on experience, refine her technical skills, forge valuable connections, and meet new people. Amidst her time in Las Vegas, she looks forward to attending a hockey game and exploring the desert beyond the renowned Strip.
In her leisure moments, Peyton unwinds by indulging in episodes of “Criminal Minds” and “New Girl” or immerses herself in a good book. One of her favorites is “A Little Life” by Hanya Yanagihara.
