Paige is from Spartanburg, South Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Veterinary Science at Clemson University, and is currently attending her final year at the University of Georgia, for a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
Paige grew up around many animals. With over ten animals at home it was natural, in retrospect, for her to become a veterinarian. She began her career in animal care working for the local zoo, and animal clinics in High School. There she found her passion in helping the public and the challenges presented when diagnosing animals. When Dr. Barton, a faculty doctor at the University of Georgia, e-mailed her an opportunity for an externship with Craig Road Animal Hospital, she could not pass up the variety of experience a large hospital had to offer.
“I feel like all of us in this field enjoy science and animals.”, she says. Her experiences have lead her to an interest in internal medicine, which she hopes to focus on in depth once she starts practicing. Her future goal in the field of veterinary medicine is to work with large zoo animals.
Paige is the proud owner of dogs, cats, birds, a pig, a deer, and a lama. Her hobbies include; dancing, sports, and hiking, although it is difficult to maintain a balance while attending school she does her best.
Please join us in welcoming Paige to Craig Road Animal Hospital.
