Morgan is from Severna Park, Maryland.
The granddaughter of a veterinarian, Morgan was exposed to veterinary medicine at a young age by her grandfather who took her under his wing and showed her “some cool experiences.” She received her bachelor’s degree from Tuskegee University in Alabama, and is currently in her fourth year of her doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University in Indiana.
Morgan learned about the Craig Road Animal Hospital externship program from Dr. Kimberly Lutz just after Dr. Lutz completed her own externship at Craig Road in early 2018. Dr. Lutz is now an associate veterinarian at Craig Road. Morgan also met Dr. Mych at a Western Veterinary Conference in 2018, and decided that the program would be right for her. “I like being in Las Vegas,” says Morgan. “At Craig Road there are a large number of veterinarians to help me and I like to see how they work through cases. I also like to see how everything functions at a large busy hospital.”
Morgan has lots of interests in veterinary medicine, including being a USDA national scholar. “I’ve had a lot of large animal exposure so far,” says Morgan. “But I also have interests in small companion animals and so I’m keeping my options open.”
In her spare time Morgan likes to travel and explore new places. She also likes to hang out with friends and family. She currently does not have any pets of her own; however, her boyfriend has a cat called “Flick” which she claims as her own.
