Samantha was born, and grew up, just outside of New York City in Westchester county.

She has always wanted to be a veterinarian from when she was a very small child, but is was after receiving her bachelors in biology from SUNY Cortland, also know as The State University of New York College at Cortland, that she really pursued her goal. “I’m going to do this,” she laughs remembering her decision.

She studied as Ross University for her doctorate in veterinary medicine and is currently completing her clinical; year at the University of Tennessee. During her time at Cortland, Samantha volunteered at one of the local hospitals, and over the summer she completed an externship at the Belize Zoo.

She learned about the Craig Road externship program after our own Dr. Major, a Ross Alumni, who spoke at Ross last year. Samantha is looking forward to getting more hands-on experience and see how things work in general practice rather then in school.

In her spare time, Samantha likes to hike and travel. She currently has two fish as pets but is looking forward to getting a dog later this year.

Welcome to Craig Road Samantha.
