Sarah, a Las Vegas native, developed a passion for animals at an early age. Her love for animals was fostered through frequent visits to the library, where she watched animal shows like Eyewitness. Additionally, her time spent at her grandparents’ farm in Paraguay, where she would assist with the care of cows, horses, and chickens, played a pivotal role in shaping her love for animals.

Growing up with dogs further fueled Sarah’s interest in veterinary medicine, sparking her dream of becoming a veterinarian.

Despite initially considering a career in nursing or human medicine during a high school nursing program, Sarah’s path became clear when she went to the University of Las Vegas for undergrad. During this time, Sarah dedicated her time to volunteering at shelters and spay/neuter clinics. Sarah now studies at Western University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and is set to graduate in 2024.

During this externship, Sarah is looking forward to gaining hands-on experience, particularly in surgeries, as she transitions from her previous role as a vet tech to that of a veterinarian.

In her spare time, Sarah finds joy in various activities. She indulges in crafting, particularly painting, enjoys watching Korean dramas, eating Korean cuisines, and spends quality time with her Terrier Shih Tzu mix, Mimi.
