Vivian Lee was born in Garden Grove, California, and spent most of her childhood in Fresno in California’s Central Valley. Growing up surrounded by agriculture and nature, she developed an early appreciation for animals and the important role they play in people’s lives. As a child, Vivian had several fish and a beloved dog named Sparky, who became one of her earliest inspirations for pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.
Her passion for veterinary medicine began at a young age. Vivian often accompanied her dog to the veterinary clinic and became fascinated by the care and compassion veterinarians and technicians showed to each patient. She was inspired by the way veterinary teams worked together to treat animals while also supporting the people who loved them.
During high school, Vivian had the opportunity to volunteer at a veterinary clinic, an experience that solidified her decision to pursue the profession. Witnessing a team of veterinary professionals quickly and calmly respond to a dog suffering from heat stroke left a lasting impression on her and confirmed that veterinary medicine was the career path she wanted to follow.
Vivian attended the University of California, Davis, where she completed her undergraduate studies and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She is expected to graduate in May 2026.
Vivian has gained experience in a variety of veterinary settings, including shelters, general practice clinics, and emergency hospitals, helping her develop strong clinical and communication skills.
She is particularly interested in small animal general practice, with a growing focus on geriatric medicine, surgery, and dentistry. Vivian is passionate about improving the quality of life for her patients and supporting pet owners through important medical decisions with clear communication and empathy.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Vivian enjoys activities that keep her mind engaged and allow her to relax, including solving puzzles, playing Sudoku, and putting together outfits for trips and events.
