Rachel was born and raised in Starkville, Mississippi. She attended Mississippi State University for her undergrad, with a major in animal and dairy science. Rachel realized that she wanted to become a veterinarian while in her first year of college, as she loves both animals and science. She is currently in her fourth year at Mississippi State University, getting her doctorate in veterinary medicine.
Rachel became interested in Craig Road Animal Hospital after meeting a previous extern that had a wonderful experience. She’s excited to get a feel for what a larger animal hospital is like, although her goal is to work for a smaller, private practice.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys catching up on sleep, crocheting, and being outdoors with Blondie, an adopted, medium-sized mix breed that she describes as being ‘a mix of a mix, of a mix’.
