Olivia was born in Michigan but spent most of her childhood in Illinois.
Growing up with two Shih Tzus, and as a “horse girl,” Olivia always knew she was interested in veterinary medicine. When talking about her childhood dogs, “Belle, who was older than I was, unfortunately, passed away when I was about nine.” The other Shih Tzu, Jazz, is “still going strong at 14, which I think is impressive,” Olivia states.
Olivia was able to pursue those interests when she enrolled in Michigan State University for her undergraduate degree. She continued her pursuit of becoming a vet at the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. It was through an email she received from the Craig Road student representative at Michigan State University that Olivia heard about the externship program.
When Olivia has free time, she mostly reads and enjoys her hobby of cross-stitch embroidery. She also likes to spend time with her two Whippet mixes, Pippin and Meriadoc.
