Welcome to our newest extern, Max!
Max, a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has always had a love for animals. This passion was inspired by his mother, who not only adored watching animal cop TV shows but also dedicated her time volunteering at animal shelters.
Max’s commitment to a career focused on animal care was solidified in high school, where he began volunteering at small animal clinics and shelters.
Following his passion, he pursued an undergraduate degree in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences at Penn State University. This opportunity allowed him to delve into a significant amount of research, particularly focusing on poultry. His research was so impactful that he was invited to present his findings at a national convention.
Currently, Max is studying at the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, with an anticipated graduation in 2026.
As a foodie, Max is excited about his first visit to Las Vegas and is looking forward to exploring the city’s dynamic food scene.
During this externship, Max is hoping to expand his surgical knowledge and experience, particularly focusing on more complex procedures.
When faced with the challenges of his rigorous educational path, Max recalls his father’s wise words: “Nothing worthwhile is easy to attain.” This mantra has guided him through moments of self-doubt and has fueled his determination to succeed in the veterinary field.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Max enjoys spending his leisure time outdoors, engaging in sports, reading, skiing, running, and working out at the gym. He also loves spending quality time with Hazel, his 8-year-old mutt.
