Marilyn was born and raised in Los Angeles, California! She grew up mostly with dogs, a cat, and a few birds over the years! She currently has two dogs – a Cocker Spaniels and a Pit Bull!
During her free time, she enjoys staying active, playing basketball, boxing, and hiking! Marilyn knew she wanted to be a vet from a young age, but she explored other careers first because of how competitive the field is.
She knew she wanted to make a difference for families by caring for their pets and being able to advocate for those who don’t have a voice! She is interested in surgery and would love to gain more exposure and experience in that area, as well as dentistry! After she graduates, she plans to work in a GP hospital that offers strong mentorship and is located in an area she enjoys living in!
