Growing up in Las Vegas, Hailee’s path to veterinary medicine was shaped by her lifelong connection with animals. Her family home was a miniature menagerie, housing everything from playful dogs to exotic crested geckos and fascinating snakes. These early experiences with such diverse creatures naturally inspired her pursuit of a veterinary career.
Her professional journey in veterinary medicine spans five years, beginning with work in various clinics during her undergraduate summer breaks. After completing her undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2020, she dedicated two years to working as a veterinary assistant before embarking on her veterinary school journey. Currently, Hailee is pursuing her veterinary degree at The University of Arizona’s College of Veterinary Medicine, with an anticipated graduation in 2025.
During this externship, Hailee is particularly enthusiastic about gaining hands-on experience with surgical procedures, especially laparoscopic spays, and looks forward to observing challenging cases.
When she’s not focused on her veterinary studies, she finds joy in creative pursuits such as drawing and playing video games. She also dedicates time to training her golden retriever, Orie, to be comfortable in veterinary clinic settings.
What drives Hailee in her pursuit of veterinary medicine is her deep understanding of the significance of the human-animal bond. She remains motivated by remembering the core purpose of her work: helping maintain and strengthen the special connections between people and their beloved pets through quality veterinary care.
