Welcome to our newest extern, Connor!
Connor, primarily raised in Paris, Tennessee, was deeply influenced by his father, a practicing veterinarian. Connor’s inherent passion for animals and community service led him to consider a career in veterinary medicine.
A heartbreaking incident involving his dog Bo, who tragically passed away, made him realize the importance of animals in people’s lives. This led him to commit his career to helping others with their pets and especially those who may be suffering the loss of a pet.
Connor’s exposure to the veterinary field has allowed him to gain experience with a variety of animals – from small pets to exotics and farm animals. He has also developed an understanding of the business side of veterinary medicine because of his father.
Connor attended Bethel University for three years before transferring to the University of Memphis, where he graduated in 2019. He spent time in Nashville, where he enrolled in a program and worked at a pre-selected veterinary hospital that catered to a large number of exotic animals. He also volunteered with Chain Free Knoxville, a program dedicated to building enclosures for chained animals.
This is his first visit to Las Vegas, and Connor is eager to explore the city, including watching a WNBA game, exploring the strip, and visiting Red Rock Canyon and Zion National Park. He’s particularly excited about the externship, looking forward to observing orthopedic procedures, ultrasound and CT imaging, and learning from the multi-doctor practice.
In his free time, Connor enjoys basketball, hiking, tennis, video games, fishing, and camping. He currently does not have any pets but aspires to have a boxer and possibly a snake in the future. His greatest motivation is the prospect of loving his work every day, serving the community, and the potential opportunity of building a practice with his father.
