Meet Chelsea our new DVM Extern,
Chelsea is from Westchester NY. She attended Geneseo State University as an undergraduate and is currently attending Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine for her Doctorate on Veterinary Medicine.
Chelsea has always felt love and empathy towards animals. The medical field has been an interest of hers since her elementary years, but she solidified her decision to become a veterinarian in high school while attending Tufts Veterinary Summer Program.
On a prior visit to Las Vegas with her family she found Las Vegas to be a great city. Mike, our Hospital Administrator, spoke with Chelsea while visiting Ohio State University and peaked her interest in our externship program. “It seemed like a great opportunity, and it has been I really love it here.” She enjoys our work environment and finds the staff to be very approachable. Chelsea has found the experience here to be top-notch and is learning very much from working with exotic animals at our sister hospital: Lone Mountain Animal Hospital. She looks forward to building relationships with clients as she finds that to be very rewarding.
Chelsea is a proud parent of two cats and a guinea pig. In her spare time, she enjoys art; painting, drawing, and restoration of vintage pieces.
