Please welcome, Carin! The newest extern to join the Craig Road Animal Hospital team!
Carin is a fourth-year veterinary medical student at North Carolina State University and will graduate in May 2022. She is originally from Central Indiana, and she went to Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia for her Bachelor’s degree. She graduated early with a Bachelor’s in Biology and took a year off to gain some work experience.
Growing up, Carin said she always knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. Carin said her mother kept a drawing she made that described how she wanted to be a veterinarian when she got older.
“When I got into vet school, she framed it and gave it to me,” Carin said. “It was so cute!”
In her spare time, Carin enjoys spending time with her pets and her husband. They both enjoy the water sports Raleigh, North Carolina has to offer, such as waterskiing and jet skiing. She has two dogs; one is a Newfoundland-mix named Sammy, and a Boykin Spaniel. She also has a Domestic Shorthaired cat named Fitz.
