Originally from Blue Diamond, Nevada, Audra grew up with two dogs and some chickens. Being around animals from a young age sparked her interest in veterinary medicine, especially since her mom is a veterinarian. She fondly remembers spending holidays like Christmas at the hospital, helping care for pets alongside her mom.
Audra began working as a kennel assistant while in high school and later gained more hands-on experience at a clinic in Reno. Over time, she’s shadowed several specialties including surgery, cardiology, and dermatology.
She completed 3 years of undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, Reno, and currently attends the Royal College of London’s veterinary school, where she’s on track to graduate in 2027.
During this externship, Audra hopes to strengthen her communication skills with clients, gain more confidence in surgery, and improve her general handling skills, particularly administering vaccines and performing blood draws.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, climbing, painting, and exploring new cafes and restaurants.
