Welcome our newest extern at Craig Road Animal Hospital: Ashley!
Ashley grew up in New Hampshire and always knew she wanted to be a Vet. She grew up with a cat named Onyx, who she remembers fondly, however, she found her love of veterinary medicine through her other cat, Bart, who passed away when she was in Kindergarten. Because her parents and the veterinary staff walked her through the process and explained what was happening with Bart, she was able to see the staff, “make things right,” in terms of Bart’s health. Since then, Ashley has been wanting to create that feeling of compassion and helpfulness with her patients.
Ashley attended the University of New Hampshire, graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science with a prevet specialization. Ashley is currently a student at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and is going to graduate in 2025.
When Ashley is not in school or work, she likes to hang out with her three cats. Referring to herself as an “extroverted introvert,” she likes to go out with friends; but, given the opportunity, she would prefer to do her own thing. “I like to enjoy the company of the people I love and my cats.”
