Andrew grew up in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Andrew knew he wanted to become a vet since he was in the second grade. Having cared for bearded dragons for most of his life, he also grew up with ferrets, turtles, snakes, cats, and other animals, fueling his interest in vet medicine. “I love people and their pets!” He said. “I know first-hand how important animals are to their families, and I want to give back to people and their pets.”
Andrew currently attends the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and is expected to graduate in 2024. He also has an undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida. Through his school’s externship database, he was able to find the Craig Road externship program. After graduation, Andrew plans to work as a general practitioner.
In Andrew’s free time, he likes to hang out with his pets: a bearded dragon, a mud turtle, and a leopard gecko. He also likes to spend time watching comedy shows and Rupaul’s Drag Race with his friends.
