Originally from Livermore, California, Jenavieve grew up surrounded by an incredible variety of animals. Her childhood included cats, dogs, horses, chickens, ducks, geese, quail, parakeets, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigeons, guinea hens, turkeys, fish, a cow, turtle, gecko, mini donkey, and even a pheasant. Today, she continues to have plenty of animals in her life, including her two cats, Papaya and Latus, who live with her while she attends veterinary school, along with dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, geese, guinea hens, and pigeons back home.

Jenavieve first knew she wanted to become a veterinarian when she was five years old, although she officially committed to pursuing the profession at age 23. Her passion for veterinary medicine comes from a desire to help both people and their pets, provide care for animals without families of their own, and continue expanding her medical knowledge.

She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis before continuing her veterinary education at Western University of Health Sciences.

Jenavieve is currently a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student at Western University of Health Sciences and anticipates graduating in May 2028.

Having previously visited Las Vegas for her 22nd birthday, Jenavieve is excited to return for a completely different experience through her externship. After hearing great things about the program through her veterinary school, she was drawn to the opportunity to gain experience beyond traditional small animal general practice and work with a wider variety of species.

During this externship, Jenavieve is focused on strengthening a variety of hands-on technical skills while also expanding her knowledge of veterinary business and practice management. She has a strong interest in mixed animal medicine and plans to practice for several years after graduation before eventually opening her own mixed animal clinic and rescue.

Outside of the hospital, Jenavieve enjoys spending time with friends, going for walks, and gardening.
