Originally from Rancho Cucamonga, California, Tiara grew up surrounded by a variety of animals, including dogs, turtles, and a cockatoo. From an early age, she developed a passion for animal care and knew she wanted to dedicate her life to helping both animals and the communities they serve. Today, she shares her home with a Yorkiepoo named Zazu and a domestic shorthair cat named Sarabi.
Tiara knew she wanted to become a veterinarian when she was just five years old. Her lifelong passion has been driven not only by a desire to heal animals but also to increase representation within the veterinary profession and make quality veterinary care more accessible to the communities that need it most.
She earned her undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University before continuing her veterinary education at Tuskegee University.
Tiara is currently a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine student at Tuskegee University and anticipates completing her degree in 2028.
Having visited Las Vegas before, Tiara is excited to return and experience what it would be like to practice veterinary medicine in a city she is considering calling home after graduation.
During this externship, Tiara is focused on strengthening her communication skills while continuing to build her clinical knowledge and confidence. She has a particular interest in general practice and urgent care and hopes to eventually own and operate her own veterinary practice after gaining valuable experience in the field.
Outside of the hospital, Tiara enjoys reading, listening to music, practicing yoga, hiking, shopping, decorating, trying new restaurants, and binge-watching television shows. While she describes herself as a little shy at first, she enjoys connecting with others once she feels comfortable.
