Introducing our October 2023 Pet of the Month: Oscar
Oscar was rescued a year ago in October! After spending his early days in an animal shelter and experiencing multiple changes in his living situation, Oscar had a challenging time adapting to people and other pets. He often felt scared and reacted fearfully to anyone he encountered at the animal hospital or in puppy classes. He had a lot to learn.
Thanks to the unwavering support of Oscar’s dedicated human parents, a caring veterinary team, and skilled fear-free dog trainers, Oscar has finally discovered the perfect combination of medication and activities to help him learn and thrive in his new home. He has become courageous enough to venture into public spaces for Nose Work and Control Unleashed classes, as well as enjoying fun trips to Bass Pro. Most impressively, he’s become more receptive to new people and can’t wait to showcase his cooperative care skills at his next vet appointment.
