Dr. Jimmy Lam grew up in Hong Kong and then moved to the Bay Area in California at around 9 years old. He lived in various cities in the Bay Area before moving to London in 2018 to attend the Royal Veterinary College, University of London. He had a great time there but had to deal with lockdowns for parts of his studies. After graduating in 2022, he worked in London and Wales for a while before moving back to the U.S. this year.
Dr. Lam interviewed at clinics across America while working on his veterinary license. He decided to apply as Nevada was close to his home in California. While searching for options, he came across Craig Road and spoke to Mike, the hospital administrator.
In Dr. Lam’s spare time, he enjoys baseball and plays in London. He also likes fishing, meeting people and exploring life. He has an engineering degree from UC Davis but ultimately decided to pursue veterinary medicine since he had an interest in animals from a young age. As a vet, he likes talking to and working with people as a vet, especially hearing their life stories. He brought his small chihuahua with him for his interview at Craig Road.
